Summer Season 2025
Welcome all to a new season at the museum. We have been working hard behind the scenes to bring you another year of fun at the museum. We want to share the history of the Newfoundland Railway and the Coastal Boat Service in Newfoundland and Labrador. Whether you are local or a visitor from away, we tell the story of how the railway came about and how much it has driven our history. It has shaped our people and our economic development.
This season, the Railway Coastal Museum will open on Saturday, June 28, 2025. This year, we are again open seven days a week from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm daily. On opening day, we will be hosting a children’s craft event from 2 pm to 4 pm. Regular admission applies.
To celebrate our new season, we are offering a giveaway. Everyone who visits the museum on opening day will be entered into a draw and a lucky visitor will win a CN 100 ball cap and pin.

The Railway Coastal Museum tells the fascinating story of the great initiative, courage, and sacrifice involved in building and operating the Newfoundland Railway and Coastal Boat services. Theses services helped overcome isolation and opened up the vast resources of the island of Newfoundland.
